DAY-TO-DAY CONVERSATION SKILLS

Enhancing learners’ conversation skills has been our main educational objective since our foundation in 1984. In our general conversation course, learners study in a multinational environment.

The classes mainly include conversation practice under actual scenes, which allows students to obtain practical communication skills as well as necessary knowledge.

ENGLISH-SPEAKING STAFF AVAILABLE

There will be English-speaking staff available to assist you with any issues that may arise during your time at the school.

COURSE INTRODUCTION

This course is focusing on progress with operational ability of Japanese Conversation, students also aim at progress with reading and composition comprehension. In addition to conversation course, ALA provides a wide variety of curriculum to meet individual requirements such as for success in business in Japan, for university enrolment, and for understanding of Japanese culture.

TERM 1 - 2

Beginner - 6 months

Beginner level 1 starts with learning hiragana katakana and basic conversation. Students are not required to have prior knowledge of Japanese. After completion, learners master survival Japanese such as describing their daily activities, ordering in restaurants, talking with shop assistants and so on. (Equal to JLPT N5 level)
Beginner level 2 is for people that have some previous knowledge of basic Japanese. After completing this level, learners can use basic communication, such as makig requests, asking for advise, talking about interests and so on. (equal to JLPT N4 level)

The school’s welcomes absolutely beginner with specific beginner classes that will cover all the basic aspects of the Japanese language.

Note: The total course cost includes class time, staff guidance and extended student insurance. Textbooks are not included and need to be purchased separately. The school will collect the study material fee of 5,000 yen for each 6 month term, before the course begins.

The prices above will apply from April 2020 following a slight increase in tuition due to a tax increase in Japan.
